Completion requirement
The portfolio is a collection of work charting your intellectual progress from Fren 2001 throughout the French major. Beginning in Fren 2001, keep all syllabi, papers, and exams, including work completed abroad, in a three-ring binder or in an online format. You will write a 400-word cover letter to each section: language, Medieval Studies, Modern Studies, and Francophone Studies. As a senior, you will present your portfolio to the French faculty the semester prior to taking Fren 4902.

The French discipline recommends that students take as many of their major courses as possible in the French language in order to build and maintain their skills.
