ENGL 2162 - Careers for Writers (4 Cr.) Humanities
Course description
Students develop non-academic writing skills transferable to careers in publishing, journalism, freelance writing/editing, marketing communications, public relations, the nonprofit sector, and others. The course is designed for students both inside and outside of the English major. Students analyze theories and strategies of effective communication, and develop their skills by practicing writing in several professional modes, including marketing materials, features, news releases, website and social media content, and more.
